VisitedStates respects your privacy and does not collect or share any personal information beyond what is explicitly described below.
VisitedStates optionally uses your device's location to automatically track the U.S. states you've visited. Your precise location, coordinates, routes, and travel dates remain on your device and, if enabled, in your private iCloud storage. We do not store or access this information on our servers.
If you separately choose to share anonymous statistics, the name of a state confirmed through location detection may be reported as described under Anonymous Analytics below. Precise coordinates, routes, and travel dates are never included in those statistics.
You can disable location tracking anytime in your device's Settings.
If enabled, your visited state data synchronizes across devices via Apple's secure iCloud service. We do not access or store your iCloud data on our servers.
VisitedStates does not use advertising or cross-app tracking. If you choose to share anonymous statistics, the app uses TelemetryDeck to report GPS-confirmed state names, earned badge identifiers, background-mode status, app version, and an anonymous identifier. These statistics help us understand how the app is used and improve its features and badges.
Anonymous statistics never include precise coordinates, routes, travel dates, names, email addresses, advertising identifiers, or other personal information. They are not linked to your identity, sold, or used for advertising.
Participation is optional. Analytics remains disabled unless you choose to enable it, and you can change your choice at any time in VisitedStates Settings.
